Cooking with Jerry: A Fun, Hands-On Cooking Adventure!

Join us for "Cooking with Jerry," a lively and interactive cooking class designed for kids ages 4 to 9! In this exciting afterschool program, your child will explore a world of flavors and learn the basics of cooking in a fun, relaxed environment.

What’s on the Menu?

In "Cooking with Jerry," we’ll explore exciting cuisines from around the world, including Italian, Mexican, Chinese, and Hawaiian dishes. Your child will learn important cooking skills like measuring, mixing, and cutting, as well as kitchen safety and hygiene.

More Than Just Cooking

Our cooking classes go beyond making delicious food! We focus on teaching responsibility and respect by encouraging children to bring their own clean apron, hat, and bag each week. These small habits help build responsibility, and in case of a forgotten item, students will participate in an alternative activity designed to reinforce these important values.Along the way, your child will also learn about kitchen tools, food safety, and how to work as part of a team—skills that extend far beyond the kitchen and into everyday life.

Conveniently Located at Joy Studios

"Cooking with Jerry" takes place at Joy Studios, a short 5-minute walk from Joy to the World. The class runs from 2:00 to 3:30, with the walk to and from the studio included in that time. Families coming from other schools are responsible for transportation to and from Joy Studios, though Joy Bus Service may be available if seats allow—just be sure to request early!
