At AIDLC, we understand that parents need flexible and reliable childcare options. Whether you need occasional care for appointments, part-time work, or simply want your child to experience an English-speaking environment, our Drop-In Daycare program is here for you. We provide a safe, nurturing space where children can grow, play, and develop their natural curiosity—all while being immersed in English.

How We Care for Your Child

• Ages: 1 to 6 years old
• Hours: 8:00 am - 6:00 pm (With special arrangements available until 6:30 pm, by approval)
• Minimum Stay: 2 hours per day
• English Immersion: All care and activities are conducted in English, with Japanese language support for parents as needed.

Daily Schedule and Integration with Joy to the World

From 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, AIDLC daycare integrates with Joy to the World’s Extended Care Program. Joy to the World is a full-English immersion school, and all activities are conducted in English. This unique partnership provides your child with a continuous and enriching English language experience throughout the day.

Park Time and Health & Safety

Weather permitting, we take the children to a nearby park for outdoor games and play. If you plan to pick up your child between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm, we may ask you to meet us at the park.

We prioritize the health and safety of every child. If your child shows any flu-like symptoms, we ask that you keep them home. Should your child become unwell during the day, we will contact you to arrange an early pick-up.

Flexible Payment Options

We offer convenient payment options, including credit card payments. Bank transfers and cash payments are available upon request.

For Drop-In requests, please submit your reservation through our online booking system by 3:00 pm the day before. We will confirm your reservation status by 5:00 pm. Please note that approval for same-day requests is not guaranteed, and emergency requests may incur additional fees.

Understanding “Daycare”

In the United States, "Daycare" refers to childcare services for young children. However, in Japan, the term is often associated with elderly care. Please rest assured that AIDLC is a childcare facility focused on providing a safe and engaging environment for your little ones.

More Program Details

‍Lunch Options:
Children can bring lunch from home or opt for our convenient pre-ordered school lunch service, available on a monthly prepaid basis.

Outdoor Play:
Weather permitting, we enjoy outdoor activities at a nearby park. If you plan to pick up your child between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm, we may ask you to meet us at the park.

Health & Safety:
To ensure a healthy environment, we ask that children showing flu-like symptoms stay home. Should your child become unwell during the day, we will contact you to arrange an early pick-up.

Uniforms:
Children wear AIDLC T-shirts and caps for easy identification, especially during park time. Caps are sent home daily, and T-shirt sizes start at 90 cm.

Nap Time:
While we don’t have a designated nap period, children who feel sleepy can rest in a quiet room under teacher supervision. We work with parents to accommodate their child’s sleep schedule as much as possible.

Toilet Training:
If your child is not yet toilet trained, our staff will work closely with you to support their progress with gentle guidance and a flexible approach.

Time Tracking:
Each child uses a timecard to clock in and out. For families using packages, your child’s time is tracked and deducted from the total package hours. We ask that parents pick up their child on time; a 5-minute grace period is allowed for late pickups, but beyond that, a late fee of ¥1,500 will apply.

Flexible Drop-In System:
For flexible care, submit your reservation through our online booking system by 3:00 pm the day before. We'll confirm by 5:00 pm. Same-day requests may not always be approved, and emergency drop-ins will incur a higher fee.

Food Restrictions:
Please note that nuts of any kind are strictly prohibited on campus for the safety of all children.
